Chairlift is a band I went to see at the Kings collage with my gig buddy Jemma. We had just had a week where every night we had a gig – they all seemed to come at once! By the time Chairlift came round at the end I was exhausted. I hate to admit it but I nearly bailed on Jemma while we were waiting for them to come on. I am SO glad I didn’t however. They completely woke me up and were fantastic – even their layout on stage I loved with no one in front of the drummer so you could see all three of the band members really clearly. Bruises for me is just such a happy song and guaranteed to wake and cheer you up on any day. Enjoy it as much as I did.
