I went to Pick Me Up fair again this year, three years running so far. One illustrators work really caught my eye and that was Niki Pilkington.
I loved her style of drawing, the subjects she choose and the combination of pencil and collage. Her bio at Pick Me Up fair described her work as ‘using material you would predominantly find in a child’s pencil case. Her playful style is made up of intricate pencil drawing combined with 2- and 3-D collage.’
I bought a copy of the Phosphenes print. I loved the quote, so whimsical and beautiful;
