Social media break
First up take a break from social media. Be present and delete those apps. They’ll still be waiting for you in a few days!
Walk
It may be chilly but getting outside in nature is such a restorative thing to do. Plus it’ll get your body moving in a gently way. And if you’re anything like me it will start moving all that extra food you’ve eaten so you don’t feel as sluggish.
Breathe
Breathe! It’s time to relax. I find that this breathing exercise is super relaxing and I use it if I’m having trouble getting to sleep.
- Breathe in through your nose then breathe out through your mouth and keep repeating
Pulse point oils
My friend Hana bought me these Tisserand essential oil pulse point rollers for my birthday and they’re amazing. They smell gorgeous and have names like breathe deep, real calm and mind clear. Place them on your pulse points and switch your mindset to relax mode.
Affirmation
The final one is an affirmation you can repeat to yourself three times to relax.
Taking a break means I let my mind wander so relaxation and creativity can find me
