The little details – homemade Christmas decorations

This year I could not wait until the 1 December as it meant I could finally sit and create my Christmas decorations and decorate my lounge with them!

So this Saturday me and my lovely housemate Kat of Live Once Live Beauitfully set to making, sticking and decorating throughout the whole day accompanied by many, many Christmas songs. (This was of course a given.)

And this is the result of our labour of love!

I was inspired my images I pinned onto my Pinterest Christmas board. From this we created large paper chains in bright colours and TWO alternative Christmas trees! Which were a twig tree with brightly coloured baubles as well as tree made up of kraft and bright coloured squares. Kudos to Kat for painstakingly sticking and re-sticking to get the perfect shape 🙂

I had already made jam jars covered in lace and we filled these with candy canes. Then we strung Christmas cookie cutters by string in our windows.

All of this is also accompanied with fairy lights to make the room twinkly as well as tea cups filled with baubles.

Perfect. I love Christmas and our lounge is now officially one of my favourite places to be right now.

Images taken by me.
